Dr Nick Taylor BVSc(Hons) GPCert(SAP) (ESVPS) MRCVS

Nick graduated with honours from Sydney University in 2000. He spent his first few years in practice in the beautiful Southern Highlands of N.S.W before moving to the United Kingdom.

Nick spent over six years working in the U.K, firstly in the South Downs in East Sussex and latterly in London.

Nick ran a busy and friendly practice near Highgate in North London for the last three years. During this time Nick gained the General Practitioners Certificate in Small Animal Practice by examination. He is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and is involved with the examination committee of the European School of Veterinary Post Graduate Studies.

Nick is passionate about lifelong animal care and best standard treatment for our patients and excellence in service for our clients.

Nick is excited and proud to be leading the Roseville Veterinary Surgery and continuing the high level of care and commitment we offer.

Outside the practice Nick loves sailing, horse racing and the beach. Nick plans to continue post graduate study and gain membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists for Small Animal Medicine by examination in the near future.

Nick was nominated for Petplan Vet of The Year for 2010.

Dr Jennifer Smith BVSc(Hons 2)

Dr Jen Smith graduated from the University of Sydney, with honours in 2002. After her first position in Australia, she followed her dream to the United Kingdom working in a mixed practice, living the “all creatures great and small” life with diverse case loads from the routine dogs and cats to the extreme ranging from pocket pets to cows, horses, Deer and Bison.

Returning home to Australia she focused on feline and canine medicine and surgery which proved to be the area that excited her most. She managed a mid sized small animal practice, worked in a multimodal small animal specialist hospital and is part of the team at Ku-Ring-Gai Veterinary Hospital.

Dr Smith has a passion for pets and has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, cardiology, endocrinology, oncology and geriatric management. She undertook further study through the University of Massey Veterinary School in 2008 and continues to develop her skills in these areas.

Her broad experience, compassionate manner and technical skills ensure that her patients receive the utmost care. She is excited to become a regular addition to the Roseville Veterinary Hospital.

Dr Smith is married with an energetic 1 year old son Ethan. Though spare time is a thing of the past with balancing being a Vet and a Mum, she also enjoys any outdoor activities including tennis, hiking, kayaking and horse riding in Hunter Valley and likes to dabble in art and music.

Alexandra Bretland

Alex is our full time Veterinary Nurse.  Alex has attained her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, following on from a Certificate II in animal studies. She has moved from Newcastle to Sydney to join our team at Roseville Veterinary Surgery.

Alex has the busy responsibility of front of house and reception roles, in addition to grooming pets, surgical and hospital nursing, making orders and keeping the whole practice running.

She does a wonderful job and we are lucky to have her on the team.

Alex has a particular interest in grooming and surgical nursing.

In her spare time Alex enjoys going out with friends, shopping and spending time with her beautiful and spoilt Beagle X Aussie Terrier “Miska”

Juliette Dean

Juliette has recently returned to full time study - undertaking a Bachelors Degree in Animal and Veterinary Bioscience at Sydney University. Juliette continues to help out at the Surgery most Saturdays and some weekdays.

Juliette has a two very naughty dogs - Frances and Ruby, a cat called Toby and also keeps pet Mice.

Juliette is very interested in wildlife and her back garden is home to any number of our Native waifs and strays.

Outside of work (and study) Juliette enjoys travel, shopping and socialising.
