Roseville Pet Party in the Park
8th December, 12pm - 3pm Roseville Park
![]() ![]() ![]() On Saturday the 6th December Roseville will be holding its annual Pet Party in the Park at the Roseville Park, Clanville Road. Presented by The Roseville Veterinary Surgery, the community event is a chance for people and their pets (mostly dogs) to come along and socialise, play some party games and have heaps of fun.
Doggie Style Dog Grooming will be providing dog colouring for adventurous dogs, with little Christmas trees and stars adorning pampered pooches. Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed dogs, sausage eating race and dog musical chairs.
All proceeds from the Pet Party go towards WIRES - and the tireless work of WIRES volunteers helping our sick and injured native animals.
Check out our Pet Party link for more Pet Party photos. |

Year 1 Willoughby Students Get a visit by Dr Greg and Poppy
On Thursday 31st May, year 1 students from Willoughby Public School received a visit from Dr Greg and Poppy. The students were learning about "People in the Community"as part of their year 1 curriculum.
Poppy and Greg saw six classes of students, and spoke about what vets do in the community, what to do if you want to pat someone's dog and what to do if you find a lost dog. Part of our talking to students is to introduce them to safe behaviour around animals, through the PetPEP program - an initiative of the Australian Veterinary Association.
Students were given a chance to listen to Poppy's heart, scan her for a microchip and some students (safely) gave her dog treats at the end of the talk. As the students were all so well behaved, they received a show-bag from the Roseville Vet Surgery.
Greg and Heuston spoke to the year ones at the Pymble primary school in early June. We're always happy to speak to schools and community groups about veterinary and animal-related matters. |
